Jokowi Asks For Maximum Tourism Potential In Alor Like Labuan Bajo

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) requested that the wealth and beauty of the sea owned by Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) must be managed properly in order to become a tourist destination.

The President today visited Alor Regency to inspect the LIPA Kalabahi People's Market and SMK Negeri 1 Kalabahi.

The Head of State also ordered the provincial government and the local district government to prepare a master plan or main planning to develop tourism potential in Alor so that tourists can look at it.

"This is a very beautiful district and island, the sea wealth is extraordinary. I think if the Regent and the Governor can prepare a master plan, prepare designs so that in Alor there can be as many tourists as possible, such as Bali, such as Labuan Bajo. I think here has that strength, has that opportunity, has that potential," said the President through a statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 3.

President Jokowi's arrival to Alor not only brought pride to local governments, but also left a deep impression on the local community, including school children who were willing to take to the streets to see President Jokowi firsthand.
