Karutan Salemba: Commemoration Of Pancasila Sanctity Day Is Not Just A Symbol

JAKARTA - Officers of the Central Jakarta Class I State Detention Center or Salemba Detention Center held a ceremony to commemorate the 2024 Pancasila Sanctity Day on Tuesday, October 1. The ceremony was led directly by the Head of the Salemba Detention Center, Agung Nurbani.

According to Agung, the ceremony to commemorate the 2024 Pancasila Sanctity Day is a moment to strengthen national unity and integrity in facing ideological challenges that often arise.

"This ceremony is not just a symbol, but a reminder of the sacrifices of the heroes of Kusuma Bangsa who have sacrificed their soul and body for this nation," Agung said when confirmed, Tuesday, October 1.

Agung emphasized that this ceremony is a reminder of the services of the heroes who have sacrificed to maintain the establishment of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"We hope they get the best place in the sight of Allah SWT, and their enthusiasm continues to inspire us in maintaining the integrity of the nation," he said.

The theme carried out in this year's commemoration is "Together Pancasila" We make Indonesia Gold. This theme reflects the collective commitment to stick to Pancasila as the foundation of the life of the nation and state.

Including, making Pancasila the basis for carrying out his duties as a coach for the inmates.

According to Agung, Pancasila is also a major milestone that unites Indonesia's diversity in the midst of ideological challenges that threaten unity.

The head of the Salemba Detention Center Security Unit, Yoseph Jhon Ferry, said that the values of Pancasila are not only relevant to people outside the prison walls, but also have a crucial role in the process of coaching and rehabilitation in prisons.

"Pancasila is a guideline that teaches tolerance, justice, and humanity. We hope that WBP can make it a principle that guides them to become better individuals after completing their correctional period," he said.
