Cécil Who Chooses The Road Full Of Challenges To Introduce Women's Rapper To Indonesian Music Connoisseurs

JAKARTA - Rapper Cécil who introduced the latest work with the title 321 Im Callin, under the auspices of FloorInc, a sub-label from Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia.

The 321 I'm Callin' can be seen as a major step taken by Cécil, who previously preferred to release his work independently.

For a rapper, freedom in creativity is certainly the breathing' of his works. Therefore, joining a label that has a big name is not the main option, especially for cases in Indonesia.

However, Cécil, who wants to introduce herself more as an Indonesian female rapper, chooses a different perspective.

Together with a more organized team, Cécil feels that the challenge to be better known as Indonesian music lovers makes more sense.

"I feel more challenged. So the female rapper is not easy and not difficult," said Cecil Yang to the media crew at Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 26.

"But there is a feeling like 'when I can't', when it's just a guy, I can, I can too'," he continued.

After his joint collaboration with Laleilmanino and Diskoria for 'Djakarta' last June, 321 I'm Callin' became preliminary evidence that Cécil's decision to join the label was the right decision.

With the help of Gamaliel Pradipta as a producer, Cécil really enjoyed his debut work with FloorInc.

"There was a feeling of joy that was overloaded, like a feeling of emotion too, because it was finally released, and finally everyone could listen," he said.

It can be said, 321 I'm Callin' is also a work that brings Cécil as a more complete musician, not only as a rapper, but also as a singer and songwriter.

"Very appropriate (expectation). In the previous songs I was fully absorbed. Well, in this song there is a song. So, there is a singing and there is a absorption," said Cécil.

"Indeed, it's really challenging, but very happy, because this can be implemented," he concluded.
