Hyundai's First Three Baris Hybrid SUV Will Launch 2027?
Hyundai plans to expand its SUV in India in the next 24 to 30 months. The manufacturer is rumored to be launching a model to be positioned over the Alcazar soon.
Launching from India's Autocar, Thursday, September 26, the SUV has the internal code name Ni1i. Although it will be positioned on top of the Alcazar, this model is under fire in a brand portfolio from South Korea.
Interestingly, this car will be Hyundai's first hybrid to be sold in India. The manufacturer with the 'H lopsided logo is expected to introduce the system in order to compete with two powerful manufacturers such as Suzuki and Toyota.
Although further information has not been disclosed, it is rumored that this SUV has a wide three-line configuration with a length of 4,630 mm and will use a base from the Long-wheelbase (LWB) sold in China.

The manufacturer with the 'H' logo will start its new chapter in India's hybrid market with the same 1.6 liter engine as several other Hyundai and Kia models. However, it is possible that the brand will provide a 1.5 liter naturally-assisted option with the help of a hybrid in order to reduce costs.
Thus, this car will compete in segment C and is expected to achieve production of around 50,000 units in the market.
In India, it is likely that the Hyundai model will be a direct challenger for Mahindra XUV700 or a production version of the Suzuki Y17 which will launch in the coming years.
The model will be produced at General Motors facilities in Talegaon, Pune, India. Its first unit will launch in 2027 along with the latest generation Hyundai Venue assembly.
