Puan Affirms Tia Rahmania's Replacement As A Member Of The House Of Representatives Not Because Of Nurul Ghufron's Criticism

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPR and Chairman of the PDI-P Political Division (PDIP) Puan Maharani emphasized that the replacement of Tia Rahmania as a elected member of the DPR for the 2024-2024 period was not for criticizing the Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron.

Puan emphasized that there was no connection between Tia's replacement as a member of the DPR being elected and the incident when Gufron gave anti-corruption material at Lemhanas some time ago.

"It has nothing to do with it, because the event at Lemhanas was carried out after the letter (the decision of the Party Court) which was then submitted to the KPU. So it has nothing to do with it," said Puan, Thursday, September 26.

Puan explained that the change of Tia as a member of the Elected DPR as well as dismissal as a PDIP cadre was the party court's decision.

According to information, the dismissal was carried out because Tia could not prove anything related to the lawsuit for a vote dispute in the 2024 Legislative Election.

"We have a party court that can decide internally regarding whether one of the candidates from the internal can be appointed or not," said Puan.

Therefore, Puan also requested that no party misinterpret the dismissal of Tia Rahmania from PDIP. Because according to him, the decision of the party court is purely related to the decision on the Pilleg dispute lawsuit and the issue of the internal PDIP code of ethics.

Puan also emphasized that criticism of the KPK conveyed by Tia as a former PDIP cadre cannot be considered as a form of dislike for political parties to the KPK.

"This should not then be misunderstood that there seems to be a difference or there is a dislike between a political party and the KPK. It has nothing to do with it," concluded Puan.

The cancellation of the inauguration of Tia Rahmania as a member of the DPR for the period 2024-2029 is known through the Decree of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Number 1368 dated September 23, 2024.

Tia was replaced byten Triyana, who won the second most votes in the Banten I electoral district.

The PDIP DPP has also given an explanation of Tia's decision to replace Tia withpan Triyana because of a dispute over the results of the 2024 Pilleg vote between internal cadres.

The replacement of Tia as a elected member of the DPR and her dismissal from PDIP is one of the decisions of the Party Court of the many lawsuits related to the Legislative Election.
