Jokowi Groundbreaking International School At IKN, Can Accommodate 750 Students

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the construction or groundbreaking of the Australian Independent School in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), today.

"Alhamdulillah, this morning we will again conduct groundbreaking for the construction of international schools in the capital city of Nusantara, Australia Independent School Nusantara or AIS Nusantara," Jokowi said in his remarks as seen on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday, September 25.

Jokowi said that the construction of AIS Nusantara will be carried out on an area of 7,900 square meters and is ready to accommodate around 750 students from pre-school to high school level.

He added that later the facilities provided will have international standards, equipped with mini Soccer, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, swimming pools to auditoriums with a capacity of 250 people.

"The presence of AIS Nusantara at IKN shows our seriousness and commitment to providing various international-class supporting facilities at IKN, including world-quality international educational institutions," he said.

The Head of State hopes that the presence of AIS Nusantara with a reputation and track record for 28 years in the field of education will be able to hold world-class education at IKN.

Then, it can promote high-class global education in the archipelago and provide quality education options for residents in the capital city of Nusantara who come from various regions, countries and backgrounds.

"And by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim the construction of the Australian Independent School Nusantara, I declare that it will start," he added.
