Spokesperson For Kaesang Calls Ticket Prices Per Person For Private Jets To America Temporary Taxis
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for Kaesang Pangarep, totaling Widjojo, said tickets costing Rp90 million per person for the private jet that Kesang and his wife, Erina Gudono, were on their way to the United States at a temporary estimated price.
"Once again, this is just a matter of self-assessment, a temporary figure for the need to fill out a form. The KPK will then recalculate it with a more appropriate and correct standard. Of course, if Mas Kaesang's trip to the US is decided by the KPK as a gratification," he said in a statement in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, September 19.
This was conveyed by God in response to news regarding the price of Rp. 90 million per person for the plane that Kaesang and Erina were traveling on. All data and information have been given to the media, but his party assesses that there needs to be an additional explanation so that the information circulating in the community is in accordance with existing facts.
He explained that the beginning of Kaesang's arrival to the KPK was to report, ask questions, and consult about whether his departure to the US by boarding or carrying a plane belonging to his friend was gratification.
Kaesang was then directed by KPK officers to fill out the Gratification Report form. Kaesang then filled out the form and one of the columns in the form is "price/value/taxis".
"Frankly, we cannot immediately assess the price of the flight carried out by Mas Kaesang. Then, the KPK officers explained that this was only self-assessment, the value of which was estimated by the reporter. The results of discussions with KPK officers, we agreed, the attorney and spokesman, Mas Kaesang wrote Rp90 million per person as a self-assessment figure, a temporary estimate refers to the ticket price for the Jakarta-US business class," he said.
He emphasized that his party is ready to follow the KPK's decision regarding whether the trip is gratification or not, and is ready to pay according to the price set by the KPK.

"However, based on the legal analysis we studied, we believe this is not gratification because Mas Kaesang's position is not as a state administrator. But once again, as a good and law-abiding citizen, Mas Kaesang will follow the KPK's directions," he said.
