Moeldoko Highlights The Industrial Awakening Of The Aerospace At Bali International Airshow 2024
BALI - Presidential Chief of Staff of the Republic of Indonesia, General TNI (Ret.) Dr. Moeldoko, stated that the Bali International Airshow 2024 (BIAS 2024) marks the revival of the Indonesian aerospace sector. "This is an important moment for the national aviation industry to show its capabilities and innovations," said Moeldoko when opening the event at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, Wednesday (18/9).
After being held for the last time in 1996, Moeldoko emphasized the need to continue an event like this, not only as an exhibition, but also as a knowledge-sharing and innovation platform in the aerospace. "BIAS 2024 provides an opportunity for our aviation industry to compete and learn from the global industry," he explained.
On this occasion, Moeldoko specifically praised Nurtanio's N219 aircraft, the work of PT Dirgantara Indonesia. This aircraft is designed to carry 19 passengers and cargo, and is equipped for various missions, such as medical evacuation and supervision. "The N219 aircraft is proof that we can meet domestic air transportation needs. In the future, we no longer need to rely on imported aircraft," he said.
