F5 And Intel Present Security Solutions And Provision Of AI Services

JAKARTA F5, a multi-cloud security provider, collaborates with Intel in providing reliable application security and supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This solution was officially introduced on September 18.

Through a statement received by VOI, F5 explained that this new solution combines the security and traffic management of F5's NGINX Plus and Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit. This solution also adopts Intel's Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUS).

By using NGINX Plus, this new solution can manage application traffic, ensure high availability, and provide active health checks. This solution is also facilitated by SSL terms and encryption of mTLS which can maintain app communications and AI models without compromising performance.

Meanwhile, OpenVINO Toolkit will simplify model optimization across the framework. Thanks to this tool, combined solutions from F5 and Intel can take a written-once approach and create scalable AI solutions with minimal code changes.

To improve the performance of the solution, IPUS Intel will offload infrastructure services from the host CPU. This platform will manage infrastructure tasks and free up the resources needed for AI model servers.

Cooperation with Intel allows F5 to push the boundaries of AI implementation. This collaboration highlights F5's commitment to encouraging innovation and providing safe, reliable, and large-scale AI inference solutions," said CTO F5 Kunal Anand.

Meanwhile, Intel's CTO Network and Edge, Pere Monclus, claims that a combined infrastructure from Intel and F5 can strengthen the company's security. This new solution will support better AI performance on a larger scale.

"Utilizing the latest infrastructure acceleration from Intel IPU and OpenVINO toolkit together with F5 NGINX Plus can help companies to realize innovative AI inference solutions," said Pere.
