LAMPUNG - Officers from the Fire and Rescue Service (Damkarmat) of South Lampung Regency managed to extinguish the flames that burned three schools in SMP Negeri 6 Tegineneng, Pesawaran Lampung Regency.

Head of the Damkar Division of the South Lampung Damkarmat Service, Rully Fikriansyah, explained that the fire occurred on Thursday, September 19 at 08.15 WIB, which scorched three school buildings.

"The incident in Pesawaran Regency happened to be close to the Jatiagung and Natar posts, with the report, the officers immediately prepared the equipment and left for the scene," he said in South Lampung, Thursday, September 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that his party had difficulty overcoming the school fire, because the conditions at the location contained strong winds and wood and flammable equipment in the school.

"At 08.15 WIB, we received the report at 08.28 WIB because the distance was quite far for members to reach the location of 08.45 WIB and managed to extinguish the fire at 10.00 WIB," he said.

According to him, for this incident, the South Lampung Damkarmat dispatched two fire engines and with 10 personnel from the Natar and Jatiagung Command Posts.

"The cause of the temporary fire is estimated to be a short circuit in electricity. For the death toll, there is no loss, it is estimated that it is around Rp. 200 million," he said.
