Bloomberg Connects, Explore Hundreds Of Museums Around The World Virtually
JAKARTA If you are a history and cultural heritage lover, you may like visiting museums. This hobby requires a lot of energy and time, but now it is no longer thanks to technology that is getting smarter.
Now, there is an application called Bloomberg Connects that can be downloaded through the Google Play Store and App Store. This application contains collections and exhibitions from various museums and cultural institutions in various parts of the world. Unfortunately, Indonesia is not yet in it.
To see a list of museums and cultural institutions that can be visited virtually, you can click on the Maps option when the List is open or vice versa. You can also enter the name of the museum or cultural institution you want to visit in the search bar.
When clicking one of the museums or cultural institutions registered with Bloomberg Connects, you will see a description of the place, starting from the explanation of the name of the place, when the place began to be established, to the location where it is located.
To get more information, you have to click Start Guide by scrolling through the page. Later, Bloomberg Connects will show what kind of interesting information can be found in that place, what programs are being held, to the latest exhibitions.

Bloomberg Connects can be accessed worldwide although not all places are listed in its application. There are more than 550 museums and cultural institutions that can be visited and all of these places are from 24 different countries.
Some come from the United States, Canada, England, Mexico, Italy, and many more. Apart from museums and cultural institutions, you can also visit botanical gardens, historic funerals, zoos, theaters, historic homes, galleries, and many more.
When compared to the Google Arts and Culture apps, Bloomberg Connects still has some shortcomings because it is not equipped with VR experience. However, this application is much better at directing users to the nearest location.
