AHY Claims Land Mafia Gebuk Operation Saves Potential Loss Of IDR 6 Trillion

BANDUNG - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said Operation Gebuk Land Mafia had saved a potential loss of IDR 6 trillion by mid-September 2024.

"As of today, we have saved around Rp6 trillion in land mafia Gebuk operations, we have saved those from state losses, and community losses," said Minister AHY at the Dies Natalis Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University, Bandung, West Java, Antara, Thursday, September 19.

AHY said of the overall rescue action, the largest value recovered was in Central Java of IDR 3.4 trillion.

According to him, in almost all regions, there are modes and actions of the land mafia. However, the scale of losses caused by the land mafia is different.

"In Grobogan yesterday we saved IDR 3.4 trillion," he said.

He said the land mafia operation had also hampered investment inflows. In Grobogan, he said, the land mafia has made investors cancel investment realization. Even though the realization of the investment is needed to open up many jobs.

"He is ready to invest, but the documents were falsified so that they did not flow (investment), even though if they flow they can create jobs," he said.

According to AHY, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will continue to eradicate all modes and operations of the land mafia. He will strengthen cooperation with the Indonesian Police, the Attorney General's Office and various other stakeholders to eradicate land mafia in all regions.

He also said several operational targets had been set. In addition, he admitted that he would also eradicate the land mafia network, including the internal parties of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

"This is a task that is not light. We also hope that if there is a report from the land mafia, immediately report it to us, we will reveal it," he said.
