The IPhone 16 Is Easier To Improve Than Before, This Is What Has Changed
JAKARTA The launch of the iPhone 16 has been carried out, and in conjunction with the appearance of the first review, there are some interesting details regarding the repair of this device. Apple has made some significant internal changes, making the iPhone 16 the easiest to fix to date. Here are the changes made to improve the ease of iPhone repairs.
Apple has continued to move towards improving iPhone repair capabilities over the past few years. This is in line with the company's ambition to achieve environmental goals by 2030. Efforts such as the Self Service Repair program have helped users extend their iPhone life.
On the iPhone 16, Apple introduces some important internal changes to improve the device's repair capabilities inherently.
TechCrunch's Brian Heater analyst highlighted some of these changes. According to him, the most interesting change is the new adhesive design that can be released by providing a low voltage of 9-volt batteries. This attachment has long been the biggest challenge for DIY (do-it-yourself) assemblers. The thinner the device, the thinner the manufacturer like Apple depends on the adhesive to replace the screws.
Previously, tools to melt glue were an important part of Apple's Self Service Repair kit, especially in battery replacement. However, with this new glue, this problem no longer exists. In addition, several other components are now easier to fix than before.

LiDAR Scanner, which is still exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, is now easier to service thanks to the internal revision of the device. Likewise with the TrueDepth camera which can now be repaired.
All of this is equipped with a new Repair Assistant feature released two days ago. With this feature, both repair professionals and consumers will benefit from Apple's system automatically installing the calibration data needed to ensure the improved parts are functioning properly.
Apple does continue to invest to make the iPhone easier to fix. This not only increases the selling value of the iPhone, but also allows more users to take advantage of existing devices on the market.
