COVID-19 Update As Of March 30: New 4.682 Cases, 122.326 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 76.904 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 4.682 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.505.775 people and 122.326 active cases", quoted from the Ministry of Health as saying, Tuesday, March 30.

Recovered cases today increased by 5.877 cases so that a total of 1.342.695 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 173 people and a total of 40.754 people.

The province with the newest cases is in West Java with 911 cases and a total of 249.307 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 649 new cases with a total of 168.313 cases. DKI Jakarta has 384 new cases and a total of 381.090 cases. Then, Banten has 319 new cases and a total of 36.809 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1.209 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 1.125 recovered cases, West Java with an increase of 1.042 recovered cases, and East Kalimantan with an increase of 279 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases was West Sulawesi. In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 12.635.867.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 18.56 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 60.671 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

Furthermore, currently, there are 7.729.582 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 3.500.264 second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 40.349.051 people.
