The Body Of A US Activist Who Was Shot Dead By Israel In The West Bank Arrives Turkey
JAKARTA - The body of a United States (US)-Turkey activist named Aysenur Ezgi Eygi who was shot dead by Israeli troops arrived in Turkey today Friday, September 13.
Citing AFP, Friday, September 13, the arrival of Eygi's body at Istanbul Airport was welcomed by a number of Turkish officials, including the Governor of Istanbul Davut Gul.
Those who came to pray in front of Eygi's coffin wrapped in the Turkish flag.
Eygi died after being shot in the head during a demonstration against Israeli illegal settlements in the West Bank, Palestine recently.
The Israeli military has acknowledged the shooting and confirmed it has carried out an investigation.

Meanwhile, Turkey has also deployed its apparatus to investigate the death of Eygi.
In addition, Turkey petitioned the United Nations to launch an independent investigation into the killings.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan promised that Ezgi's death case would not escape punishment.
