Image Of Patent Motorcycle Leaks, Is It True That BYD Will Release Two Wheels?
In the past year rumors have circulated that the Chinese auto giant BYD will dive into the two-wheeled market, and patent images estimated to belong to BYD have been widely circulated.
However, the rumors were firmly denied by General Manager of Chinese Branding and Public Relations Li Yunfei on Wibo's official website today.
"We reiterate, BYD is focused on its main business today and in the future, there are no plans to make a motorcycle," Li said, quoted from the CNevpost website, Friday, September 13.
In the post, Li attached a motorcycle design patent, which was stated that the patent was rumored to belong to BYD.

Previously, on September 10, this design patent was widely spread again. The information listed outlines the patent that the model in question is owned by BYD, sparking speculation that the NEV maker will launch a motorcycle.
In May this rumor also surfaced, where the motorcycle image patent allegedly belonging to BYD was widely spread on social media. At that time Le also denied that BYD would launch a motorbike, and said that the image was fake.
Meanwhile, quoted from the Carnewschina page, it was mentioned last February that BYD would use the electric two-wheeled vehicle market.
Findreams said, a wholly-owned battery subsidiary BYD today posted on WeChat that it will produce safe and reliable batteries for the two-wheeled vehicle market. Findreams will collaborate with various third parties to develop a battery that can be placed indoors.
"Our mission is to let people use batteries without worrying," the company said.
