2nd Floor House In North Utan Kayu Caught Fire Due To An Electric Short Circuit
JAKARTA - Residents in the Kelapa Puan Street area, RT 02/13, Utan Kayu Utara Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta were shocked by the appearance of thick black smoke from the 2nd floor of a permanent house, Friday afternoon, September 13.
The black smoke that keeps coming out of various roof gaps of the house and windows causes panic from local residents. Residents are worried that the origin of the smoke from the fire will spread to their settlements.
"Fires. Please there is a fire," shouted hysterically to the residents when they saw the emergence of smoke.
Furthermore, other residents tried to extinguish the manual to prevent the fire from spreading. Residents also reported to the fire station for immediate evacuation of the fire.

"After receiving the report, we dispatched 6 fire engines with 20 personnel to the location of the fire. The object caught fire at the residence," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Abdul Wahid, Friday, September 13.
The process of extinguishing the fire began at 09.33 WIB. Luckily, the flames were localized at around 09.37 WIB.
"The latest situation is already in the process of extinguishing the fire. The fire has been localized," he said.
This fire incident is thought to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Although the fire was successfully extinguished, officers were still cooling down the fire site.
