Director General Of Amerop Of The Indonesian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Calls INALAC Evidence Of Indonesia's Seriousness In Working On Latin American And Caribbean Markets
JAKARTA - The implementation of the Indonesian Business Forum with Latin American and Caribbean countries or the Indonesia-Latin America and the Caribbean (INALIAC) Business Forum in Lima, Peru, is a concrete proof that Indonesia is getting serious in working on the potential market of Latin America and the Caribbean (Amlatkar).
This was conveyed by the Director-General of America and Europe, Umar Hadi Foreign Ministry, when opening the 6th INALAC Business Forum which was held on September 11-13, 2024.
"The implementation of the INALAC Business Forum is an affirmation of the seriousness of the Government of Indonesia to continue to promote trade and investment cooperation, establish closeness and strengthen business networks, including offering opportunities for mutually beneficial business collaboration with countries in Amlatkar," said Ambassador Umar Hadi, in a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thursday, September 12.
In front of about 350 guests who attended, including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Peru Tourismung Mera Gomez to Ambassadors of friendly countries, Ambassador Umar Hadi emphasized that the INALAC Business Forum in Peru was the first large-scale comprehensive business mission held by Indonesia in Latin America and the Caribbean.
He explained that this Business Forum was attended by various stakeholders, including elements of the government, business actors, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), civil society, academics to culture from Indonesia, Peru and Amlatkar.
Carrying the theme "Fostering Growth, Strengthening Society", the INALAC Business Forum this time specifically wants to answer one of the challenges related to the distance between the two regions.
The large number of entrepreneurs from the two areas that are present directly in Peru is proof that the distance factor is not the main obstacle.
Meanwhile, Peru's Deputy Minister of Trade and Tourism totaling Mera Gomez said the INALAC Business Forum was the most appropriate vehicle to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two regions.
"I am very happy that Peru was chosen as the venue for the INALAC Business Forum," he praised.
INALAC Business Forum 2024 facilitates various business meetings, promotion of superior products from Indonesia and Amlatkar to trade negotiations between Indonesian entrepreneurs and their partners from this region.
At least 46 middle to large-class Indonesian companies and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) were also present to enliven the INALAC Business Forum Exhibition.
They include Gadjah Tunggal, Sanbe Farma, Mayora, Indofood, Toyota Indonesia, Sido Muncul, Eratani, Haloni Jane, Scale Group, Oxytane and Nakula Jewelry.
There are also Indonesian SOEs, Pertamina and PLN Indonesia Power as well as three Indonesian universities, ITS, IPB and Binus also participated in this activity.
These Indonesian businessmen will meet representatives from around 65 companies and potential partners from Peru and regional countries, such as Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Jamaica, Suriname and Venezuela.
