Jokowi Asks TNI-Polri To Maintain Stability To Support Transition Towards Prabowo's Government
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the TNI-Polri to support the transition to the elected President Prabowo Subianto's government by maintaining state stability.
"I ask the TNI and Polri to maintain stability properly. Fully support the transition of government. In order to be smooth, the government that I lead will be continued by a new government led by Mr. General TNI Retired Prabowo Subianto," President Jokowi said at President Jokowi's Briefing to TNI and Polri officials at the State Palace. In November, there will be simultaneous regional head elections (pilkada) for the election of governors, regents, and mayors.
"So that we are aware that in October next month there will be the inauguration of the president and vice president candidates. In November there will be simultaneous elections. Regional head elections, be it governors, regents, and mayors," said Jokowi.

Therefore, the President asked the TNI/Polri to maintain political stability that has been maintained so far.
The Head of State warned that small problems should be resolved immediately so that they do not become a big problem that has the potential to disrupt the transition process.
"Make sure this transition process runs well and smoothly. Don't let there be ripples that have the potential to interfere," said President Jokowi.
Before closing his remarks, the President asked the TNI/Polri to fully support the implementation of regional elections, maintain neutrality, and keep the situation conducive.
