Bahlil Disappointed That The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources' Budget Is Only IDR 3.9 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI has agreed on a Work Plan and Budget for the Ministry of State/Institution (RKA-KL) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for the 2025 Fiscal Year (TA) of IDR 3.91 trillion.
This amount is smaller than the budget agreed in the Working Meeting (Raker) with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources on September 5 amounting to IDR 10.8 trillion.
"Thus there is no additional budget for KESDM 2025," said Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Dony Maryadi Oekon at a Working Meeting (Raker) with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Thursday, September 12.
Responding to this, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia said, in the budget discussion, his party had proposed a budget of more than Rp. 10 trillion, with details of Rp. 3.91 trillion for the operational expenditure of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rp. 4.2 trillion for the construction of gas pipelines and populist programs.
Bahlil stated that his ministry received the amount of the budget that had been approved by the Banggar DPR RI.
However, Bahlil asked Commission VII to draw conclusions on the meeting which was then conveyed to the public regarding the budget that was not approved by Banggar.
Furthermore, Bahlil said, if this budget does not go down, he asked Commission VII not to question the progress of the transmission pipeline construction in the next working meeting.
"Can parliament ask if it is given space for us to do so if there is no job, what do you want to ask?" continued Bahlil.
He also detailed that the official budget of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Rp3.91 trillion will be allocated to the Secretariat General of Rp336.12 billion, the Inspectorate General of Rp95.35 billion, the Directorate General of Oil and Gas of Rp566.68 billion.
"Imagine that our leadership wants to increase oil lifting, but the director-general is only given a budget of Rp. 500 billion. Padhal is targeting the state to be used from upstream oil and gas of around 15 to 16 billion US dollars. Where is this theory from?" continued Bahlil.
Meanwhile, the budget of the Directorate General of Electricity is IDR 457.93 billion, the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal of IDR 369.65 billion. In fact, he said, the mineral and coal sector managed to produce Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) worth IDR 173 trillion.
"I repeat that the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal has succeeded in providing PNBP 2023 of IDR 173 trillion and this year 2024 will also target the same minimum and even more. And 2025 acceleration for improvement, but the model of facilities and state support budget that I think (such as this) is troublesome. So be careful if you are not able to take care of my team, the private sector takes care of them. Unfortunately, this collective awareness must be an important note, it doesn't blame anyone," said Bahlil.
