Bareskrim Raids Fake Money Factory In Bekasi, Confiscates IDR 1.2 Billion
The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit raided a printing station that was used as a place to produce counterfeit money in the Bekasi area, West Java. A total of IDR 1.2 billion of counterfeit money was confiscated
Kasubdit IV Dittipideksus Bareskrim Polri Kombes Andri Sudarmaji said that in the series of disclosures of the counterfeit money case, 10 people were named as suspects.
"There are 10 suspects in this case," Andri told VOI, Thursday, September 12.
The suspects were arrested at two locations. For SUR, IL, AS, MFA, EM, SUD, and JR were arrested at the Jalan Diponegoro hotel, Tambun, Bekasi.
The suspect SUR is the owner of counterfeit money. Others are intermediaries for sales.
Then, two other suspects TS and SB were arrested at the printing house. They were the ones who produced the counterfeit money.
"TS is the owner of the printing company and received orders to make counterfeit money. SB is an employee of TS who plays a role in helping production," said Andri.
From the disclosure of the case, the police confiscated evidence of counterfeit Rp100,000 denominations of 12,000 shares or Rp1.2 billion.
