Vice President Asks Campus To Be Smart In Finding Sources Of Funds To Finance Research
JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin advised universities or universities to seek sources of funds creatively to maintain the sustainability of innovation and research.
"Provide sources of funding and research development creatively, so that research, publications, and innovation are increasingly maintained," said Vice President Ma'ruf when giving a speech at the International Conference on Applied Sciences, Education, and Technology (iConASET) 2024 conference at Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (UNUSA), Surabaya, East Java, Wednesday, September 11, confiscated by Antara.
In addition to seeking funding, the Vice President also advised universities to build opportunities for cooperation with the business world in applying research results as well as preparing graduates to enter employment.
According to the Vice President, this collaboration can open up opportunities for institutions to get direct feedback from industries that are useful in perfecting research and curriculum.
On the other hand, the Vice President wants the development of research and research relevant to the needs of the times to make religious teachings the main foundation.

The Vice President also hopes that the innovations produced can meet technological and social demands while still upholding ethical and moral values.
He also mentioned the term Society 5.0 which presents technology of artificial intelligence, internet of things (IoT) and big data, which aims to improve the quality of human life through more efficient and integrated public education, health and service services.
"Then, take advantage of Society 5.0's advantage to increase the competitiveness and quality of the research produced," said the Vice President.
Closing his remarks, the Vice President hoped that UNUSA could produce quality graduates and be able to maintain the good name of the institution, not only in the Nahdlatul Ulama environment, but also at the national, even international level.
