Wednesday Morning, Jokowi Inaugurates Gus Ipul As Minister Of Social Affairs
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo is scheduled to inaugurate the Secretary General of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) who is also the Mayor of Pasuruan Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) as minister of social affairs today, Wednesday, September 11.
"Today, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 09.00 WIB, the President will inaugurate Mr. Saifullah Yusuf as social minister for the remainder of his 2019 2024 term," said Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana in a short message in Jakarta, as quoted from Antara, Wednesday morning.
Gus Ipul will replace Tri Rismaharini, who previously resigned from the social ministerial seat because he ran in the 2024 East Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election.
In addition to inaugurating Gus Ipul, Jokowi will also inaugurate Aida Suwandi Budiman as a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).

The President will also inaugurate Inspector General of Police Eddy Hartono as head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT).
"The inauguration ceremony will be held at the State Palace, Jakarta," said Ari.
