Subaru Pockets Impressive Sales In August 2024, Crosstrek Terlaris

JAKARTA - Subaru recorded the impressive sales results in the United States (US) of 63,053 units last August or an increase of up to 11.8 percent compared to last year in the same month.

In addition, the manufacturer with the'six star' logo also reported sales for eight months this year of 437,198 units, an increase of 6.4 percent compared to last year.

President and COO of Subaru of America Jeff Walters, said growth in August was generated due to dedication from partners and customers who have trusted their products.

"Their dedication to becoming a trusted partner on vehicle travel remains an important part of maintaining the satisfaction of our customers," Walters said on the official website of Subaru, Tuesday, September 10.

During August 2024, the Crosstrek model managed to become the best-selling with 20,396 units, up 46.5 percent. Meanwhile, in eight months this year, the crossover was sold to 115,214 units (up 13.8 percent).

Then, the next best-selling model is Outback with 16,435 units in the last month period, up 13.3 percent. During 2024, this wagon-style SUV sold up to 112,342 units, up 3.7 percent.

The third best-selling model last August was the Forester with a total of 13,456 units, down 12 percent compared to last year in the same period. Meanwhile, the SUV managed to become the best-selling one during 2024 with a book of 116,987 units (up 28.4 percent).

In fourth place, there is the Ascent model with a total of 4,630 units in August 2024, down 4.7 percent and 36,805 units for eight months in 2024 (down 12.9 percent).

Complementing the fifth position, Impreza managed to become another best-selling model with 3,166 units (up 43.6 percent) and for eight months it reached 20,636 units (down 15.1 percent).

For the high performance car segment, WRX was at the top with 1.552 units (down 7.5 percent) during August 2024 and 12,216 units (down 35.5 percent) during January to August this year.

Meanwhile, BRZ contributed 347 units last month (up 29.5 percent) and 2,032 units (down 34.3 percent) during January to August 2024.

Solterra became the backbone of Subaru in the pure electric vehicle (EV) segment by successfully selling 1,417 units last August (up 54.9 percent) and 8,603 units (up 73.6 percent) for eight months in 2024.
