Loved In The US With Sales Up 25 Percent, This Is Honda's Most Targeted Model
JAKARTA - Japan's automotive manufacturer, Honda continued its positive trend in sales in the United States (US) in August 2024 with a total of 139,950 units, an increase of 25 percent compared to last year in the same period.
Citing the manufacturer's official website, Tuesday, September 10, sales of Honda and Acura branded vehicles generated a total of 950,968 units throughout January to August 2024, an increase of 11.2 percent compared to the previous year.
Of this number, Honda branded cars contributed sales to 127,953 units (up 23.6 percent) and the first eight months were 863,770 units (up 12.4 percent).
The CR-V model managed to maintain the top throne as the best-selling Honda vehicle in Uncle Sam's country with 38,527 units (up 19.9 percent) last August. This was followed by Civic with 22,688 units (up 28.1 percent), and Accord completed the top three with 16,539 units (down 9.7 percent).
Then, there is the HR-V model as the other best-selling model in fourth place with 15.711 units (up 32.8 percent) and the Pilot completes the top five with 14.093 units (up 34.7 percent).

For the pure electric vehicle (EV) segment, acceptance from the Prologue model was so good that it sold 5,401 units during August 2024 and 10,394 units in the January to August period.
Meanwhile, the Acura luxury vehicle division received sales of 11,997 units (down 4.9 percent) last August and 87,198 units (down 12.2 percent) from January to August 2024.
The RDX model managed to become the best-selling with 4,422 units (up 7.6 percent), followed by MDX totaling 4,032 units (down 6.8 percent), and Integra as many as 1,964 units (down 32.2 percent).
Electric vehicles from this brand, ZDX, have sold 1,003 units in August and 2,035 units in the January to August 2024 period.
