Francesco Bagnaia Wins Pole Position At San Marino Grand Prix

JAKARTA - Ducati Lenovo racer Francesco Bagnaia took pole position at the San Marino Grand Prix which took place at the Misano International Circuit, Italy, on Saturday, September 7. In addition to winning pole positions for the main race and Sprint, Bagnaia also broke the record for fastest lap times with a record of 1 minute 30.304 seconds.

Bagnaia will be accompanied by two other Italian racers in the top three positions of the grid. Franco Morbidelli of Prima Pramac Racing occupies second place with a difference of 0.285 seconds from Bagnaia, while Marco Bezzecchi of Pertamina Enduro VR46 is in third place with a difference of 0.305 seconds.

The leader of this season's standings, Jorge Martin of Prima Pramac Racing, has to settle for fourth place. Martin struggled to repeat last year's dominance at the circuit, but finished 0.341 seconds slower than Bagnaia.

rookie racer Pedrodeca from GAS Tech3 completes the top five with a time difference of 0.352 seconds from Bagnaia. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez of Gresini Racing, who is the winner of the 2024 Aragon Grand Prix, had to start the race from ninth after an accident at Turn 15.

Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM), Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing), and Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo) occupy sixth to eighth positions. Fabio Quartararo of Monster Energy Yamaha is in tenth position.

The Sprint race will take place today at 20.00 WIB, while the main race is scheduled for Sunday at 19.00 WIB.
