Moeldoko Confirms PT MAB Is Ready To Provide Electric Trucks For IKN And Design Double-Cabin EVs
PT Car Anak Bangsa (MAB) is a local vehicle manufacturer that is committed to the development of commercial vehicle electrification and has showcased its technology at the 2024 Periclindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS).
Not only that, this company is also trusted in presenting heavy vehicles as operations in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), Kalimantan. This is in line with IKN's vision to become an all-green city.
This was confirmed by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association (Periklindo) as well as Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, who said MAB had received many requests to bring trucks or road cleaning vehicles.
"What I heard from the CEO of MAB, there were several orders for IKN such as trucks and road cleaning, so there were many requests," Moeldoko told the media in Menteng, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 4.
However, Moeldoko has not been able to talk about other vehicles such as electric buses to be presented at IKN, but PT MAB is ready to support the government in providing environmentally friendly mobility.
"For the bus, it doesn't seem like it, but we are ready to provide support," added Moeldoko.

In addition to providing vehicle needs at IKN, Moeldoko also ensured that PT MAB would offer city transportation vehicles powered by electricity.
"Later on, the MAB plans to present city transportation, such as microlets but with electricity being prepared," explained Moeldoko.
Although it will present heavy vehicles and city transportation, the 67-year-old man has not been able to confirm that the company can provide passenger vehicles, but is designing a dual cabin car.
"There is no plan yet for us to go to the passenger car market, maybe more into double-cabin and we are designing and testing it," concluded Moeldoko.
