Mazda Files Patent For This Name For The Latest Electrification Vehicle
JAKARTA - Japan's auto brand, Mazda is preparing to present more new electric vehicles (EVs). This is also evidenced by the brand submitting a trademark to the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Launching from AutoGuide, Friday, September 6, the name is CX-6e. The mention of his name is certainly familiar with one of the current models of the gasoline-engine SUV, CX-60.
However, it remains unclear whether the brand will carry the platform of the CX-60 to be used on the CX-6e and whether it is offered in a purely hybrid or electric (EV) system.
In the plan to present future electrification vehicles, Mazda can take advantage of its latest partnership with Toyota and Subaru. Earlier this year, all three announced collaborations as part of a multi-path' approach to electrification.
They will ask for help from the two brands in developing special EV batteries and powertrains. This is considered important considering that Mazda does not want to repeat like the MX-30 which is considered less impressive in terms of specifications.
In addition to the name CX-6e, the factory based in Hiroshima, Japan also proposed a trademark called 6e along with a special logo in Europe. It was not explained in detail about the name, but there is a possibility this is the successor to Mazda6 which ended production earlier this year.
Furthermore, Mazda also confirmed that the model named EZ-6, which was introduced in the Beijing Auto Show 2024 some time ago, would enter the global market including Europe.

This also opens up opportunities for EZ-6 to enter the Indonesian market. Previously, Chief Operating Officer of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) Ricky Thio said that his party was discussing the potential entry of this sedan into the Indonesian market.
"We are communicating with them about this. But I cannot provide certainty when," he said some time ago.
Mazda EZ-6 is the model of the development of Changan-Mazda which will be offered in the variant of Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and the pure Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).
Behind its stunning design, Mazda EZ-6 is claimed to have a range of up to 600 km, and its long-distance version can cover a distance of more than 1,000 km. This is an extraordinary figure, which can provide peace for each user.
