Detachment 88 Police Arrest 2 Suspected Terrorists In East Bekasi

JAKARTA - The National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 continues to take action against terrorists. Most recently, two people were arrested in the East Bekasi area.

"It is true that there were (the arrests of two suspected terrorists)," said Densus 88 Anti-terror Spokesperson for the National Police, Kombes Aswin Siregar, to VOI, Wednesday, September 4.

However, there were no details regarding the identities of the two suspected terrorists who were arrested. Including, regarding the network.

So far, it is only known that the two suspected terrorists were arrested on Tuesday, September 3.

Currently, the inspection and deepening process is still being carried out. Regarding the progress of the handling, it will be conveyed through the Public Relations Division of the Police.

Previously, Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested a terrorism suspect with the initials YLK in Toruato Village, Telaga District, Gorontalo.

From the examination, YLK joined the Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) group. In fact, he had planned a terrorist act against the Singapore Stock Exchange in 2014.
