Jewel Supports Roan's Chappell Call For Limits For Fans
JAKARTA - Jewel Kilcher expressed his support for Chappell Rosan. The 50-year-old singer from the United States feels the importance of discussing the boundaries between an artist and his fans.
As is known, Chappell Rosan, through uploads on social media, expressed his concern over the "gramor behavior" of some fans. He saw the need for clear boundaries to protect himself from uncomfortable and often scary interactions.
"I've been involved in too much unconsentual physical and social interactions, and I just need to explain and remind you, women don't owe you anything," Chappell Rosan wrote on his Instagram account, quoted Wednesday, September 4.
On Roan's statement, Jewel responded through his TikTok account. He shared his own experience when he met fans who were too excited.
"I responded to Chappell Rosan, the drama of all. I saw that he had to turn off his comments column because his recent post only said that being followed and people globally touching you is not a good thing for a celebrity," Jewel said.

"Over time, I learned that I could talk to my fans and said 'you shouldn't approach me within six feet'," he continued.
Jewel also praised Rosan for speaking openly. He also tried to remind the importance of affection and understanding from fans, regardless of someone's fame.
"I'm proud of what you (Roan) are doing. And for everyone, I hope you all know that everyone deserves love."
