Pramono Anung Promises To Raise Jakarta's RT-RW Operational Funds 2 Times

JAKARTA - The candidate for governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, admitted that he and the prospective Deputy Governor Rano Karno would increase RT-RW's operational funds if they won the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Hopefully in our leadership era, if given the opportunity, the operational costs for RT can be doubled to Rp4 million, RW becomes Rp5 million," said Pramono at the MH Thamrin Museum, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, September 3.

Currently, the RT-RW management operational funds in Jakarta allocated from the APBD are IDR 2 million for each RT and IDR 2.5 million for each RW.

According to Pramono, the nominal increase in their operational funds deserves to be doubled. This is because the RT-RW management is the spearhead of regional apparatus in serving the community.

"I just went straight to Bang Dul, saying the cost is only around Rp. 68 billion per month. Why, if it is issued, just dominate it? It's not too heavy with the budget (APBD) which is almost Rp. 85 or Rp. 86 trillion, I'm sure it will continue to increase," explained Pramono.

Pramono admitted that he wanted all RTs and RWs in Jakarta to have surveillance cameras (CCTV) in order to reduce the level of vulnerability and crime.

"It turns out that not all RT/RWs have CCTV. If we are given the mandate to lead Jakarta, all RT/RWs in Jakarta must have CCTV. This is to reduce the level of vulnerability as well as crime, bullying, and so on," he explained.

Referring to the results of a 2017 study, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ideally requires CCTV as many as 70 thousand points.

Until the middle of 2024, CCTV services by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government were realized at 747 points. The distribution is, Central Jakarta as many as 180 points, West Jakarta 160 points, North Jakarta 75 points, East Jakarta 160 points, and South Jakarta as many as 172 points.
