President Jokowi Inaugurates RSUP Ngoreah Made By Hutama Karya
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Maternal and Child Health Service Building of the Central General Hospital Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah (RSUP Ngoerah) by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) in Bali, Monday 2 September.
Also accompanying the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin; Minister of State Secretary, Pratikno; TNI Commander, TNI General Agus Subiyanto; National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo; Acting Governor of Bali, MM Mahendra Jaya; President Director of the Central General Hospital Prof. Dr. IGN Ngoerah, dr. I Wayan Sudana, M.Kes; and Director of Operations II Hutama Karya, Gunadi.
In his remarks, President Jokowi said that the results of the new building of the Ngoerah Hospital are like 5-star hotels where the waiting room and furniture are arranged very well, the equipment is all modern, sophisticated, and digital.
"This magnificent building has spent a budget of Rp233 billion plus its medical equipment because modern is an expensive Rp241 billion, but it's okay for us to spend that much budget as long as the community, especially mothers and children, gets the best possible health services. And there is still an addition to human resources of Rp28 billion and 326 units of beds that will provide additional health services for our community," said Jokowi.
Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said that this hospital project is a form of Hutama Karya's commitment to supporting the improvement of health services in Indonesia, especially in Bali and Nusa Tenggara, by developing one of the three leading services, namely Mother and Child Services.
"This Mother and Child Service at Ngoerah Hospital optimizes the mental health of mothers and children, which will be equipped with medical equipment such as advanced gestation ultrasound in their class, and will realize the Ministry of Health's mission to reduce the mortality rate of mothers and babies, as well as stunting rates in toddlers," explained Adjib.
Adjib further explained that after being inaugurated, Hutama Karya will continue his remaining 11 months of maintenance, while overall the Ngoerah Hospital will improve the medical and medical equipment that will be imported for inpatient care, operating room, NICU, and PICU.
RSUP Ngoerah will also be equipped with an Obstetric Neonatal Emergency Comprehensive Service (PONEK), namely comprehensive service efforts at hospitals to tackle cases of obstetric and neonatic emergency which are very rare in ordinary hospitals, IVF facilities and SIDIK principles to find out fetal disorders comprehensively with a device called ecocardiography.
This hospital project includes the construction of a building covering an area of 21,342 m2 with five floors and one basement. The scope of work includes structure, architecture, area arrangement, and Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP). The project, which started on October 28, 2022, was successfully completed on time on July 28, 2024 without any work accidents, by maintaining the quality of the work.
In its construction, Hutama Karya implemented the construction technology BIM (Building Information Modelling) in 3D forms of buildings such as making the physical modeling of the building according to plan, fast calculation of material volume for monitoring of remaining materials and remaining PO materials needed, visualization of project progress in 3 Dimensions, and helping accelerate in compiling a plan schedule and realization of work.

In addition, control of the construction safety aspect is carried out through the fulfillment of the Safety Security and Environment (QHSSE) Plan and the applicable law, as well as submitted in the QHSSE report, while to maintain the quality of the work, a lot of testing is carried out both material and site tests and work reports submitted in project coordination meetings.
"Hutama Karya involves local workers in this project, ranging from stoners, security to K3 experts, engineering staff, and MEP personnel. Hospital designs also use Bali architecture, including fasads, using paras jogja stones, terracotta and brick press, while on roofs using celedu and madda, "concluded Adjib Al Hakim, EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya.
It is hoped that with the inauguration and immediate operation of the Prof. Dr. IGN.G. This Ngoerah can become a referral hospital for Mother and Child service centers for the Bali and Nusa Tenggara regions given the high need for integrated maternal and child health services, with a small number of mother and child hospitals in this area.
