Highlighting The Important Role Of The Internet, APJII Launches Documentary Films 'Direct Online'
JAKARTA - The Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII) released an APJII documentary entitled Derang Online, about the importance of internet existence in Indonesia.
In collaboration with Indonesian filmmakers, APJII Chairman Muhammad Arif said this film was here to describe the journey, challenges, and achievements of the internet industry in Indonesia.
"That we still have issues in equitable access to telecommunications, and if we look at this film, how can people actually use this internet access for various things, which is certainly positive," said Arif in launching the documentary Derang Online on Friday, August 30 in Jakarta.
Arif hopes that this documentary can open the eyes of regulators and also the government on how important it is to equalize the internet in all regions in Indonesia.
What's more, the role of technology that is considered to help people with disabilities socialize easily.

"So this technology really plays an extraordinary role. But back again, all technology means nothing if there is no internet connectivity. Now this message that we want to convey to the wider community," he continued.
Arif also added, "Not only the community, this is also for the government, how APJII has a real mission to equalize internet access throughout Indonesia."
The Minister of Communication and Information who was also present at the launch of the documentary also gave his appreciation to APJII for the documentary.
"I would like to express my deep appreciation to Apjii for the creativity and initiatives of the Indonesian apjii and filmmakers for the work of the film Derang Online," Budi said in his remarks.
