Anies Baswedan Decides Not To Run For West Java Gubernatorial Election
JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan decided not to run as a candidate for Governor of West Java (Jabar). Anies' cancellation of the West Java gubernatorial election was confirmed by his spokesman, Sahrin Hamid.
"Anies did not advance in West Java," Sahrin told reporters, Thursday, August 29.
Previously, it was revealed that Anies received an offer from one of the political parties (political parties) to run in the West Java gubernatorial election. This offer came after Anies did not get a ticket to run as a candidate for governor of Jakarta.
"It is true that there was a special request from one of the political parties and we also know that it has met the requirements to also register Mr. Anies Baswedan to run in the West Java Pilkada," said Anies spokesman Sahrin Hamid when met on Jalan Brawijaya, South Jakarta.
Later, the issue that developed was that PDIP wanted to carry Anies forward in the West Java gubernatorial election, after canceling the Jakarta Pilkada for offering his own cadre, namely Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.
