Labor Party Opens Opportunities For Gagas New Coalition To Carry Out Anies In Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, Needs 454,885 Legitimate Votes
JAKARTA - The Labor Party opens up opportunities to form a new coalition to carry Anies Baswedan as a candidate for governor in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
Chairman of the Labor Party Pilkada Team Said Salahuddin said Anies still had the opportunity to run in the Jakarta Pilkada. This is because Thursday (29/8) tomorrow is the last day of registration for a candidate for regional head.
"There is still tomorrow, the last day of registration is until 23.59 WIB," Said said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 28.
According to him, political parties that have registered for prospective regional head pairs are still allowed to register again as long as they are still within the time limit for the registration period.
If there is double support, he continued, the KPU will carry out a clarification process for related political parties.
Therefore, Said asked to wait for tomorrow to find out the opportunity to support Anies in the Jakarta Pilkada.
"If there is an opportunity to form a new coalition to carry Mr. Anies Baswedan, tens of thousands of members of the Labor Party together with the people of Jakarta are ready to come to the KPU to accompany Pak Anies' registration," he said.
