Weezer Welcomes Oasis Return With Wonderwall Song Cover

JAKARTA - Fans Oasis and music generally welcome the historic announcement on August 27 yesterday. Liam Gallagher et al's return as a band was greeted with great enthusiasm.

One form of welcome was shown by the rock band from the United States, Weezer. They re-uploaded a screenshot when Liam declared himself a Weezer fan.

"Welcome back @asis, we also love you," Weezer's official account wrote on August 28.

Not only that, they also celebrated the comeback of the brit-rock icon by covering one of the hits from the 90s era, Wonderwall.

"Anyway, this is Wonderwall," wrote the account with a short 21-second video cover.

Weezer has actually performed Oasis' songs several times on their stage. Some of the others they have shown include Morning Glory andlong Supernova.
