Carried By PKS-Gerindra, Haru-Dhani Paslon First Registered With KPUD Bandung

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bandung City, West Java received the first registrant pair of candidates for mayor and deputy mayor Haru Suandharu and Dhani Wirianata in the 2024 Pilkada.

The head of the Bandung KPU, Wenti Prihadianti, said that his party is currently verifying the registration document submitted by the candidate pair Haru Suandharu-Dhani Wirianianata by the verification team.

"Of course, all of our filing requirements will be verified, as are some documents that are still in process. The most important thing is that we have signed registration receipts," Wenti said in Bandung, Wednesday, August 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

Wenti continued that after receiving the registration, the Haru-Dhani pair would then undergo a medical examination which would be carried out at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung.

"The implementation of health checks from August 31 to September 1, 2024 at RSHS Bandung," he said.

He explained, for the second day of registration, his party only accepted the candidate pair Haru Suandharu and Dhani Wirianata who were promoted by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and Gerindra.

Meanwhile, another candidate will register on Thursday, August 29, namely the pair Muhammad Farhan-H Erwin who was promoted by NasDem and the National Awakening Party (PKB).

"We hope that the two prospective couples can complete the requirements that have been determined by the KPU," said Wenti.

Prospective mayor and deputy mayor of Bandung Haru Suandharu and Dhani Wirianianata were escorted using a wagon with political party leaders to submit the Pilkada registration file to the Bandung City KPU.

From observations, Haru and Dhani boarded the wagon from the declaration location at Kiara Artha Park to the Bandung City KPU office and were greeted directly with traditional dance and music.
