JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) transferred its support to the pair Benjamin Davni-Pilar Saga Ichsan in the 2024 South Tangerang (Tangsel) Pilkada after deciding not to carry the Riza Patria-Marshel Widiyanto duo anymore.

"Yes, so we have signed a decree to the Benjamin-Pilar pair, it is a couple that we have carried out in the South Tangerang region. With the interest of Mr. Riza, so automatically we have to carry another candidate pair and it is Ben that we carry," said PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno at the Jakarta KPU Office, Wednesday, August 28. Eddy said that the decision had been discussed with the coalition political parties in KIM. It is known that Riza-Marshel was previously promoted by Gerindra, PAN, Golkar, Democrats, NasDem, PKS and PSI. However, based on the decision of the latest Constitutional Court, PKS then chose its own cadre to be carried in the South Tangerang Pilwakot. "Yes KIM did carry it and there has been a previous discussion, but this has been all rolled out quickly, yes. So the notification was submitted to us and we immediately took action because it was already in the registration period, so we also don't want to be left behind when the candidate pair has been registered, we will definitely convey it to the new candidate pair that we participated and it was well received, thank God," said Eddy.
