Menkumham: DIM UU Wantimpres In The Harmonization Process
JAKARTA - Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Supratman Andi Agtas said the problem inventory list (DIM) of the Draft Law (RUU) concerning Amendments to Law Number 19 of 2006 concerning the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) is in the process of harmonization.
He said the DIM of the Wantimpres Bill would soon be sent by the government together with the DIM Bill on Amendments to Law Number 39 of 2008 concerning the Ministry of State, and the DIM Bill on the Third Amendment to Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
"Earlier, we consulted when the cabinet limited meeting was completed with the Minister of State Secretary, currently in the process of harmonization, hopefully in the next one or two days the DIM will be completed, and as soon as possible it will be sent to the DPR in three laws, namely the Law on the Ministry of State; then the Law on Immigration, amendments; finally the Law on Wantimpres," Supratman said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 27.
He estimates that the DIM of the three bills will be completed and submitted to the DPR this week. For this reason, he said that his party continues to communicate in order to improve the DIM of the three bills so that they can be sent to the DPR as soon as possible.
"I have written to the Minister of State Secretary, Pak Pratik (Pratikno), regarding the development of talks between existing ministries and institutions, and thank God there has been a meeting point. We are waiting maybe this week the DIM will go down, then it will be discussed in parliament," he said.
He also hopes that the three bills can be approved before the DPR's trial period for the 2019-2024 period ends.
"The government and the DPR certainly hope that way," he said.
