Surya Paloh To NasDem Cadres: We Don't Need To Hack Other Party Households
Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh forbade his cadres to interfere in the affairs of other political parties, even causing dynamics. This was revealed by Surya in the III Congress of the NasDem Party."We don't need to interfere with the households of other parties. We don't have to interfere and comment on other parties. We take care of ourselves and prove that we are still there to build and defend the true values of Indonesianism," said Surya at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Tuesday, August 27.Surya emphasized that from the beginning NasDem was established to maintain the space that exists in the midst of vacuum and empty space so that the principles, beliefs, and ideals of the nation cannot be defeated by the interests of individuals and groups that lead to materialistics and power alone."We don't need to claim ourselves as a fighting party. But one thing we assure. We are not hypocritical people who gather in the midst of the hustle and bustle of democracy that exists in this country, in the NasDem party," explained Surya.Surya hopes that all Congressional participants attended by NasDem party cadres can implement what he mandates. Although, in the future Surya will no longer lead the party."This is my hope for all of them, the participants of this III Congress. I don't know, but what I know is one, I certainly can't lead this party forever. I know that," he explained.Surya Paloh was re-elected as Chairman of the NasDem Party for the period 2024-2029. Thus, Surya served as Chairman of NasDem for the third period for up to five years.Surya first served as Chairman of NasDem at the first Congress in 2013, then he resumed his position as Chairman of the second Congress in 2019. Surya's announcement was again appointed as chairman of the NasDem Party was determined in the third plenary meeting of the III NasDem Congress.Then, the High Council also instructed Surya to arrange the management of the Central Leadership Council of the NasDem Party for the period 2024-2029.The NasDem III Congress was held for 3 days, from Sunday to Tuesday, August 25-27, 2024. The congress was attended by thousands of NasDem Party administrators and cadres from the central to the city district, as well as invitees.
The opening night of the El Congress of the NasDem Party on Sunday, August 25, carried the theme "Sinergi Builds the Nation". The opening of the III NasDem Congress was also attended by President Joko Widodo.
