Central Jakarta Metro Police deployed 1,676 joint personnel to secure several vital objects in the Central Jakarta area on Sunday, August 25.
"In order to secure several vital objects, we involved a total of 1,676 joint personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro.
Joint personnel deployed from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI, Pemda DKI and related agencies.
Regarding the closure of traffic flow in vital objects, it is situational. This means that traffic flow engineering will be implemented to see the development of dynamics in the field.
"If later around vital objects there is quite a lot of mass and escalation increases, then we will carry out traffic engineering," he said.
Kombes Susatyo said to all personnel involved in security to always act persuasively, not provoked, prioritizing humane negotiations and services.
"The personnel involved in the security were not carrying firearms," he said.

"There is a follow-up action, starting from August 25 to 27. Actions will be carried out simultaneously with the escalation getting bigger. Involving all elements of our members, labor unions, labor parties and the community throughout Indonesia, the targets are the central and regional KPU offices, including government offices and DPRD in the regions, including the DPR RI," Said said, Saturday, August 24. The agenda of the action demanded that the KPU immediately issue a regional election regulation.
According to Said, the issuance of the regulation is written evidence regarding the follow-up to the cancellation of the revision of the Pilkada Law by the DPR RI.
"The demand is only one, the KPU has no binding obligation to consult. There has been a press conference, so the KPU regulations have been made. The Labor Party's attitude gives the KPU a deadline no later than tomorrow (25/8) to issue a new regulation that contains provisions on regional elections according to the decision of the Constitutional Court 60/PUU-XXII/2024," said Said.
