Real Madrid Vs Real Valladolid: El Real Aims For First Victory In La Liga 2024-25

JAKARTA - Real Madrid will host promotional team Real Valladolid, at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, August 25, in an effort to win their first win in the 2024-25 La Liga season. After being held to a 1-1 draw by Mallorca in the opening match, Los Blancos are now focused on securing their first three points in the league.

Carlo Ancelotti's troops came excited after winning the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta BC with a score of 2-0 on August 14, but a draw against Mallorca is a sign that they need to quickly rediscover their rhythm in domestic competitions.

Jude Bellingham was ruled out until late September with a leg injury, adding to the list of injuries that already included David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga. Ferland Mendy is also unable to play because of the red card he received against Mallorca, so Fran Garcia will most likely fill left-back position. Luka Modric is predicted to take over the role Bellingham left in midfield.

On the other hand, Real Valladolid started the season well after winning 1-0 over Espanyol at home. Raul Moro scored a winning goal in the 23rd minute, giving an injection of encouragement to Paulo Pezzolano's side. Valladolid, who has just returned to La Liga after finishing second in the Segunda Division last season, will face a huge challenge when they meet Real Madrid, given they have lost their last five meetings with the Spanish capital giant.

With Anuar Tahami absent due to hernia problems, Real Valladolid is likely to field the same line of players as in the previous match. Mamadou Sylla, who scored eight league goals last season, will again lead the front line in a 4-5-1 formation.

Forecast of the line-up:

Real Madrid: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, F Garcia; Valverde, Tchouameni, Modric; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius

Real Valladolid: Hein; Perez, Sanchez, Boyomo, Rosa; Ndiaye, Perez, Comert, Amalah, Moro; Sylla
