JAKARTA - Iqbal Ramadhan (28), son of senior singer Machica Mochtar, shared the story when he was arrested by the TNI-Polri apparatus during a demonstration in front of the DPR RI building, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 22, yesterday.
The incident began when a riot occurred on the side fence of the DPR gate, which had broken down, at around 15.00 WIB.
Iqbal admitted that he tried to look closely, because he thought that a friend had entered the DPR page.
When I just jumped into the courtyard of the DPR building, suddenly there was a stone throwing between the two parties. I secured myself to the left, "rich Iqbal to reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, August 23.
"I thought, when I threw stones between the two parties, I thought it was impossible for me to run away again in that direction (mass), it would hit my head with a rock," he continued.
Then, Iqbal approached one of the officers wearing thugs to ask for help, so that he could get out of the courtyard of the DPR building.
'Sir, please help me, I want to get out, I'm afraid of throwing stones'. 'It's okay, you just walk.' Then, I said, 'Sir, I'm better here than I'm there, I'm afraid I'll be hit by a stone, wrong target'. At the same time, I saw my friend who I thought was his stature, he was being arrested, told to squat, there was another intimidation,' he said.
