Dasco Says 2 Of The 50 Demonstrators Arrested At Polda Metro Jaya Have Been Returned
JAKARTA Coming to Polda Metro Jaya, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco said there were 2 out of 50 protesters who were released after the demonstration against the revision of the Pilkada law in front of the DPR RI building, Central Jakarta.
"The underage ones have been sent home first, there are 2 people. Earlier before we arrived we were sent home first," Dasco told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, August 23.
Dasco ensured that the rest who were still being secured would be immediately released. He said he had become a guarantor and signed the guarantor's letter.
"Has signed a letter as a guarantor so that these younger siblings can return home, to their families," he said.

Regarding the mass action that was secured at the West Jakarta Metro Police, Central Jakarta Police, East Jakarta and several Polsek jurisdiction Polda Metro Jaya, he admitted that he would first see if there were serious violations or not.
"We are looking at cases per case. We will guarantee for those who do not commit serious crimes. Because there is information that someone is burning a car and others," he concluded.
