YouTube Launches New Support Assistant To Recover Hacked Accounts

JAKARTA - YouTube announced it has launched a new support assistant that will be able to help users whose accounts have been hacked by irresponsible parties.

With this new tool, YouTube's new support assistant will guide affected creators through re-securing their logins and helping them recover accounts, as a first step after the account is hacked.

Qualified creators will see an option to solve the hacked channel problem at the YouTube Help Center, YouTube wrote in its latest announcement posted on Google's support page for YouTube.

This tool will guide you through a series of questions about you and your channel to secure Google login first and cancel actions that hackers may have taken on your channel.

So far, the feature is only available in English and for a certain group of "creators", but Google says it's working to get the feature accessible to all YouTube creators.

For now, this new tool is only available in English (when accessing the Assistance Center in English) and certain problem solving features in this tool are only available for certain creators. However, we are working to make this tool available to all creators in the future," he concluded.
