Discussing The Constitutional Court's Decision, Commission II Of The DPR Schedules A Meeting With The KPU Next Monday

JAKARTA - Commission II of the DPR has scheduled a meeting with the KPU to discuss the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which changes the threshold for nominating regional heads in the regional elections on Monday, August 26, next week.

"Yes, on Monday, we discussed three PKPU designs, especially the logistics ones. But if this is the case, we will change the PKPU that we approved yesterday. Later Monday, we will RDP," said Chairman of Commission II of the DPR Ahmad Doli Kurnia on the sidelines of Golkar National Conference at JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 20.

Doli said that Commission II of the DPR and election organizers such as the KPU and Bawaslu will hold a consignment to discuss 3 PKPU designs and 2 Bawaslu regulations on Saturday, August 24.

"Well, we will discuss this material later in the consignment on Saturday. Hopefully on Monday there will be a decision. If you look at the regulations, our laws and regulations, this decision will be stated in the PKPU," said the Deputy of the Golkar Party.

Doli assessed that the Constitutional Court's decision would not change the schedule for the Pilkada registration at the KPU which had been set on August 27. Because he said, the pilkada process was already underway.

"Yes, that's why we'll see on Monday, if in my opinion it's a bit difficult if we want to change the schedule. This stage is already running, it is known that many people are like that," he said.
