Four Teenagers With Sickle Sajam Arrested By Police In The Kebon Jeruk Area

A total of 4 teenagers with sharp weapons were arrested by police on Jalan Adhi Karya 2, South Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta. They were arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team during the brawl.

"Two sharp sickle-type weapons were confiscated from the teenagers. The sharp weapons they carry are very dangerous and can cause serious injuries or even deaths if used in fights," said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Samapta, AKBP M. Hari Agung Julianto when confirmed, Monday, August 19.

The arrest began when the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team was carrying out routine patrols on Pilar Mas Utama Street, South Kedoya.

While on patrol, the police received information from residents regarding a group of teenage brawls on Jalan Adhi Karya II.

"We will immediately go to the location to check," he said.

Arriving at the reported location, officers found several teenage brawls. When they saw the police arrival, the teenagers tried to escape. There was also a chase.

However, the patrol team swiftly pursued and managed to secure four teenagers around the location. After an inspection, officers found two sharp sickle-type weapons hidden near the scene.

The sharp weapons were used by teenagers to carry out brawls. After successfully securing the teenagers, they were immediately taken to the Kebon Jeruk Police Station for further examination.

AKBP M. Hari Agung appealed to parents to better supervise their children's interactions and activities, especially at night, to prevent them from getting involved in dangerous activities such as brawls.

"Active participation of the community in providing information to the police is needed to create a safe and conducive environment," he said.
