Chocolate Memaknai Independence Day Through A Special Photo Session

JAKARTA - Still in commemoration of the 79th independence of the Republic of Indonesia which falls on August 17, the band Chocolate underwent a special photo session which was then uploaded via an Instagram account.

Kikan, Edwin, Ernest, Ronny and Ervin were seen wearing combat-style costumes that were fighting on the battlefield.

"One of our ways in celebrating the independence day of the Republic of Indonesia is to do this special photo session," said Kikan in his statement, Monday, August 19.

Aware that the Flag song we performed has become an iconic song at each event in the 17's, this year we chose to take a photo shoot which imaged that could imply our deep message through photos. We remain happy and invite Indonesian music lovers to choose their respective interpretations,

The photo session is not just to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, but there are messages that Kikan cs wants to convey.

"We present the image of a fighter in the latest post as a form of appreciation to all fighters who have sacrificed their entire soul and body for the independence of this nation," said the vocalist.

More specifically, through these photos we want to present a sharp contrast between the clothes we wear and the background of towering buildings as a representation of today's development.

Chocolate wants to advise that the development felt by the Indonesian people today cannot be separated from the struggles of our predecessor fighters.

With the upload of a fighter-style photo and deep message, Chocolate hopes that whoever is out there and whatever his profession is, can contribute significantly to the Indonesian nation.

"Our message for the next generation, whatever your profession, do it wholeheartedly and make a real contribution to the progress of the nation in this independent nature," concluded Kikan.
