Eka Gustiwana's Opinion Regarding The Awarding Of AI-Based Music Works
JAKARTA - Eka Gustiwana, who was a speaker at a discussion held by the Anugerah Musik Indonesia Foundation (AMI), has a clear view of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) or artificial intelligence in musical works.
According to the Weird Genius personnel, the use of AI is not good in terms of music production, ranging from songwriting, sample making, to recording sessions.
Therefore, the 35-year-old disjoki who claims to be the music technology enthusiast said that AI-based music works do not deserve to be juxtaposed in the awarding of music.
"AI work should be given awards in the scope of technology itself, not in the scope of work," said Eka Gustiwana when met in Gambir, Central Jakarta recently.
This view applies not only to musical works that are entirely carried out by AI, but also to the results of human work, which is partly assisted by AI.

Even though there were those who said that the lyrics were human AI and vocals, could they? The lyrics of AI and the tone of humans can be, right? I'm still against that. There is still AI interference for production, so I don't think that's worth giving awards yet," he said.
According to Eka, AI can be used in the post-production stage, namely after the recording session is complete.
Furthermore, Eka during the discussion session said that the musicians themselves had to make musical works. He also felt there was no need for excessive worries, at least for now.
"So that you don't lose to AI, the musicians must be better than AI," concluded Eka Gustiwana.
