Jokowi Shows Off Indonesia's Economic Growth Maintained In The Range Of 5 Percent

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) revealed that the 5 achievements achieved during his 10 years as Head of State at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Annual Session, such as Indonesia's economic growth, were maintained in the range of 5 percent, although many countries did not grow, even slowed down.

"We should be grateful, thank God, Indonesia is one of the few countries that is able to recover faster and even continue to grow," he said at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Annual Session which was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 16.

Jokowi gave an example, such as Eastern Indonesia, namely Papua and Maluku, which were actually able to grow above 6 percent and North Maluku was able to grow above 20 percent.

In addition, Jokowi said that inflation was also controlled in the range of 2 percent-3 percent when many countries experienced extraordinary increases, some even reaching more than 200 percent.

Furthermore, Jokowi said, we can reduce the extreme poverty rate from the previous 6.1 percent to 0.8 percent in 2024.

"We can reduce the stunting rate from 37.2 percent to 21.5 percent in 2023. We can also reduce the unemployment rate from 5.7 percent to 4.8 percent in 2024," he explained.
